There is no doubt that there are a number of unhealthy pizzerias around the globe; however, this shouldn´t stop you from indulging altogether. Pizza is a relatively easy and fun entree to make--even with kids! There are many pizza dough recipes to choose from or even store bought dough ready to bake, just be careful of ingredients. Personally, my favorite ready to bake dough is the organic whole wheat dough from Whole Foods.
My family makes pizza regularly. When I say family, everyone is involved from making the sauce, rolling out the dough, choosing ingredients, and of course savoring every slice of pizza. Like I said earlier, pizza is easy to make and can be healthy. For example, the picture of the last pizza we made included: fresh mozzarella cheese, goat cheese, green olives, cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, and a variety of herbs. While we like to change our pizzas up every now and then, this is what was in our refrigerator that day.
