What is Zen living? And what is Being Zen?
Zen Living is my life´s calling, where:
I combine this philosophy with healthful and sustainable practices to teach others the rewards of mindful, balanced attitudes toward eating foods, preparation of foods, and exercise. Having a relationship with the earth and its bounty is at the core of Zen Living, and has led many clients to have personal breakthroughs that extend beyond what they eat but also how they feel and what they accomplish in their personal and professional endeavors.
Zen Living makes life better. Simply. By only being more mindful and aware of what you do and eat, you can change almost every aspect of your life. From work to home, physical and emotional well-being. Only by following a simple five-part plan that we call:
Simplicity. Mindfulness. Integrity. Lifestyle. Energy.
This is Zen Living -- You can Be Zen.
Zen Living is definitely *not* about:
- Strict dieting
- Counting calories
- Expensive food
Being Zen includes, and is based on:
Having lived and worked on three continents while raising two exuberant children, it has been my passion to lead a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family, which includes 15 years of practicing yoga and Pilates and educating myself about the foods and products we consume. Through a lifetime of transitions and cultural experiences, I have witnessed various relationships people have with food, particularly the overall enjoyment of purchasing, preparation, and consuming real foods. During my time abroad, eating was not something you did on the run, it was an event that brought people together, included intimate socializing, and at times featured five courses over several hours.
In addition to my Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, I have also earned a Master´s degree in Higher Education from Iowa State University. I also hold certifications from Cornell University in The Science and Politics of the Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) as well as from Monash University in the Mindfulness for Well-being and Peak Performance.
Altogether, I have dedicated the last 15-plus years of my life to learning the best practices in holistic health and wellness. As I am also an AADP certified Holistic Health Practitioner, my only wish now is to share my knowledge to improve the health and lives of others.
Join the Zen movement. Be Zen. Eat Zen.

Simply by choosing to educate yourself about and being more mindful of the foods and products you deliver into your body.
